Celebrity Style: Demi Moore
Looking younger than ever, Demi Moore stole the show at the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday night (trust me, I was there...and having the most amazing time!) in this radiant blue gown. Her fuss-free side braid took years off; and presenting on stage with her man, Ashton, undoubtedly kept the actress grinning from ear to ear. And P.S., their chemistry was ricocheting off stage and into the crowd!
I have to give her props, though.

Would you believe Moore mixed $360,000 worth of stunning Cartier jewels with a modest delicate little 14k yellow gold and diamond necklace from Dana Rebecca Designs which retails for a mere $275? Oh, but she did. Phenomenal!
Love it, want it...well done, Demi!

Golden Girl
Oscars are just around the corner, and I'm particularly excited to watch the gorgeous Anne Hathaway host alongside James Franco. In the promo pic below, the actress looks effortlessly elegant in J. Mendel's Black Silk Jersey Long Sleeve Gown with Detailed Bodice and Column Skirt.

Can't wait to see what she'll be wearing on the red carpet!

Sneak Peek: Swag & Style!
Before the stars took to the red carpet last night for the Golden Globes, several stars and industry VIPs (ah-hem, myself included!) merrily gallivanted about town at the various posh gifting suites and beauty lounges held in their honor. I ran into many of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (my guilty pleasure! it's so good) and a few others like Milla Jovovich, Abigail Spencer, Jane Lynch, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Izabella Miko and more.
Over the busy weekend, I attended the Access Hollywood "Stuff you Must..." Lounge, the InStyle Beauty Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel and the Nivea for Men Hospitality Suite at Pascal Mouawad's mansion.
While I was busy documenting the mass amounts of swag (Pretty Ballerinas, New Balance, Netflix, Pandora Jewels, Wonka chocolates, Little Giraffe, Slim Fast, Vintage Revolution denim, Lipsy and plenty more) being distributed to stars galore; I also made time for a little pampering too!
I had my hair styled by the brilliant Mika Fowler of Gavert Atelier salon with Joico products, my brows were shaped by Damone Roberts of Beverly Hills and makeup pro Heather Currie (she does Ellen's makeup for the TV show daily) beautified me with an arsenal of brand new Maybelline New York products.
Check out some fun pics:

Life's tough, right? All in a day's work, lovelies! ;)

Hair Done, Nails Done, Everything Did.
Hard to believe that awards season is already here again! Emmys came and went, which means a flurry of L.A. folks got primped and pampered for the red carpet, and likewise, many media folk (yours truly!) sampled some of the lavish services offered to the stars. This year, I stopped in at the posh Byron & Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills for a fabulous afternoon during Emmys weekend.
I lucked out with a hair cut appointment with the uber-masterful Damos, who sliced into my long, lifeless locks and added layers at the crown of my head for some much-needed volume and height. A voluminous blowout completed my look (sorry no pics!) and I felt like a brand new gal. I also scored a bright fuschia manicure while the celebs poured in. Stephanie Pratt, Rashida Jones, Hilary Duff, Sam Ronson, Giuliana Rancic and Jordana Brewster were buzzing around the salon and snagging freebies in the courtyard where a few cool companies like Koolaburra, Charlotte Ronson, Calvin Klein fragrances and Redken set up booths to pass out their latest wares.

ELLE Green Room at the Spirit Awards
Snapshots from last night's ELLE Green Room at the 2010 Spirit Awards at L.A. Live downtown. I chatted with the ever-so-gorge Olivia Wilde, Editrix Robbie Myers and creative director Joe Zee (who turned some heads while modeling a black and white fedora that was on display.)
Fancy fun swag from Smashbox Cosmetics, Keds (I am totally going to have a Baby from Dirty Dancing revival this summer in my classic white canvas sneaks), White House Black Market and more rounded out the glamorous night. The biggest score of all? A year membership to Crunch Gym! Yessssss.

The Fabulous Life...
Oscars week reigns on in sunny L.A., and tonight I attended an intimate rooftop cocktail party in Beverly Hills hosted by Nadja Swarovski (yes, as in Swarovski crystals!) It was beyond chilly up there (granted, anything below 65 degrees is officially considered 'freezing' to me), but luckily, there were plenty of pretty sparkly things to admire to distract me from the cold.
Not only were there several stunners on display in the jewelry cases, but Swarovski also commissioned a handful of notable designers (Alexander McQueen, Viktor & Rolf, etc.) to design a Swarovski-inspired ensemble, and the results were breathtaking.
Take a look:

Oh, and you're probably wondering who attended? Here's a quick rundown: Melissa George, Kate Walsh, Angie Harmon, Vivaca A. Fox, Arielle Kebbel, Perrey Reeves, Lady Victoria Hervey (who I also sat a few tables away from today at lunch, random, I know), and a few others...
Frieda Pinto was confirmed but she never showed...bummer.

SAG Awards
What did you think of the red carpet fashion for the SAG Awards last night? Why was everyone (Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Morrison, Christina Applegate) wearing weirdly-draped billowing cuts? Ick.
Needless to say, I was a little dismayed with the pickings, and didn't really L-O-V-E anyone's look, but, if push came to shove, I will say that Kyra Sedgwick looked great in an effortlessly chic black and white ensemble, and Evan Rachel Wood looked modern and elegant in her one-shouldered teal Monique Lhuillier gown.

Aside from the fashion, the SAG Awards did, however, inspire me to want to see many, many movies now...anyone else?

Partying at the Golden Globes!
It's officially awards season here in Beverly Hills, and the glamour was in full force last night at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. I attended the NBC and Cartier Golden Globes After-Party, but took in a sizable dose of stardom at the hotel before I even made it to the elevator bank.
A few scoops:
America Ferrera and fiance Ryan Piers Williams were hand in hand (and literally right next to me), waiting for their limo pretty early into the evening (before 10pm)--meaning she skipped out on after-parties, all together. By the way, Her engagement ring is insanely sparkly and GORGEOUS, and did you know she is actually really tiny? In heels, I would say America came up to my jawline. They were adorable together!
Debra Messing and her ultra-teased, ultra-extended (yikes!) ponytail kicked up her heels and plopped down in exhaustion to ease her aching feet while waiting for her car to arrive.

Amanda Seyfried and boyfriend were more than just a little tipsy at the end of the night. They were barely coherent when people approached them, and at one point I witnessed some fierce swear words uttered by them both to passers-by.
Tina Fey, however, kept it classy, posing for photos and chatting politely with nearly everyone.

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron scooted out of the venue early into the evening, as well, walking hand in hand--the epitome of young love.

And of course, here are a few candid shots of my own from my evening at the Cartier party. Pretty decor, but not a lot of action anywhere to be found.

At least I had a blast party-hopping with my fun industry pals from Glamour, WWD and Cartier (and scored a perfectly pretty black satin Cartier bracelet, too!)
On to the next event!
