Alexandra Moosally at the Soho House

To follow up on my recent post on jewelry designer Alexandra Moosally, I headed over (or rather, darted across the street) to the Soho House for a cocktail party and shopping event for the talented New Yorker. Her pieces were quite pretty in person, delicate and subdued, but save for a few pieces, hard to differentiate from too many other designers. Truth be told, the jewelry category is an overcrowded one, for sure. Price points (even at a friends and family rate) were unfortunately still a bit high, but it's always nice to admire, right?

My pick from the party? A lovely 14kt gold bangle with an open organic pave diamond-encrusted bauble. See party pics below:

On My Radar

There's some fresh new talent on my radar and I just had to spread the word. New York-based lawyer-turned-jewelry designer Alexandra Moosally has not only delicate, feminine (not to mention subtly sparkly) jewelry, but also quirky cute trinkets like hearts, cherries, apples and many, many more--mostly in rose gold and pave diamonds (my two faves.) As a vegetarian, I'm a fan of the carrot necklace below.

Adorable, right?

Look for her line at Barneys New York, ABC Home and online at www.alexandramoosally.com.

WishTree

I've accumulated quite a few fabulous pieces of jewelry over the years--so isn't it fitting that I have something equally fabulous to display (and organize) them on? I'm considering an upgrade from my current jewelry stand (from..college...) to this stately golden tree from Anthropologie.

Or better yet, I'll just add it to my wish list.

A Little Sparkle

I've been up to my ears in holiday gift guides for work (yay! fun!), and quite naturally, have started to accumulate a fancy wish list of my own. I've been longing for some sparkly everyday jewelry (stud earrings and a dainty necklace, please!) and came across Dana Rebecca Designs's cult-favorite line last night at The Luxury Review held at LA's Petersen Automotive Museum. I immediately snapped up the famous Lauren Joy mini necklace in rose gold and absolutely love its dainty simplicity and stunning speck of sparkle. The designer has a long list of celebrity fans (Mila Kunis and Demi Moore for starters)--and for good reason. This is one jewelry line I plan on acquiring several items from for years to come.

Twinkle, Twinkle.

Kourtney Kardashian can't get enough of Charlotte Lu's subtly glam diamond star necklace and I can see why. It's discreet yet special and perfect with every outfit. I've always been into barely there jewelry, so I am seriously considering snagging the rose gold version for myself, as well.

$295 (on sale!) here.

Lia Sophia Love

Last night I attended a star-studded party in honor of jewelry line lia sophia. I've been rocking lia sophia jewels for years and years, and they never get old and always grab compliments everywhere I go. The line is expansive and always evolving, so it's no surprise that I can easily mix old with new with any outfit. There's something for everyone, but for me, a handful of glitzy bangles from the line are always in heavy rotation.

A bevy of beauties including Kourtney Kardashian (Keeping Up With the Kardashians), Ashlee Simpson (Recording Artist/Actress), Ali Landry (Model/Actress), Amber Lancaster (The Hard Times of RJ Berger), Garcelle Beauvais (Franklin & Bash), Rachel Harris (The Hangover), Lacey Schwimmer (Dancing with the Stars), and Lydia Hearst (Socialite) stepped out to support the new collection alongside Creative Director, Elena Kiam and Red Carpet Collection Designer, the ever-fabulous Dani Stahl.

All Eyes on Meira T.

Might I direct your attention to a unique and special jewelry line called Meira T. Designer Meira makes interesting, delicate and subtly sparkly trinkets with dainty meaningful charms (peace signs, crosses, evil eyes and more) inspired by her European and Middle Eastern background. And FYI, Tyra Banks is a fan. Just sayin.

Celeb Style: Kelly Rowland

Looking for delicate jewelry that's different and unique? Take a cue from Kelly Rowland who recently wore a dainty yellow gold and three diamond finger bracelet ($595) by new line, Elodie K. (pssst...Max Azria is Elodie's uncle.)

Kinda gorge, no?

So Many Sparklies!

Maybe it's because I have a few close girlfriends currently flaunting engagement rings right now, but lately I've been loving glammy cocktail rings more than ever. The bigger the better, and colorful stones are a delightful way to introduce a jolt of excitement to an everyday look. Don't be afraid to branch out and wear a color you wouldn't normally gravitate towards--you just might surprise yourself!

I landed among tons of flashy diamond rings, as well as plenty of pretty cocktail varieties, costume gems, colors, shapes and cuts to suit every gal at ShopNBC. They stock bling for all budgets--from under $100 and all the way up!

Here's a little sparkly inspiration for your online shopping adventures at ShopNBC:

Bling, Bling.

I stopped into Swarovski's West Coast showroom last week to preview their fabulous fall collection, and I have to say, I'm eager as ever for it to come out now! Much of the collection was dramatic and vibrant--rich jewel tones sparkled brightly and there seemed to be a strong Black Swan motif throughout. I love Swarovski through and through, but my favorite piece of the entire preview was a ridiculously stunning ring that was organic in shape, but dripping with glamour. For me, it's a must.

Also noteworthy? The launch of the Hello Kitty collection--which screams cute! The bedazzled I.D. case is quite possibly the most adorable thing I've laid eyes on in awhile.

Celebrity Style: Gwyneth Paltrow

Is it just me, or is Gwyneth looking better than ever these days? The gorgeous actress rocked one of spring's hottest trends (neutrals!) this morning on Good Morning America and accessorized with a standout pendant necklace from MONIQUE PÉAN.

The “Signature Shape” fossilized woolly mammoth ivory pendant with 18k oxidized white gold and conflict and devastation-free black diamond pavé (whew! what a mouthful!) on a conflict and devastation-free rough diamond chain is available at www.moniquepean.com
