Are You a 'Wild Diva'?

What's your sunglasses style? Are you into aviators? Oversized frames? Cat eyes? Bright colors? If you're feeling fierce and fashionable, you might be interested to know that Roberto Cavalli is introducing a bold style aptly named the 'Wild Diva' this fall.

From the release, "The alluring Wild Diva model is a celebration of woman and pays homage to her femininity. An iconic, glamorous, savage model with a unique look whose audacious shape and surprising colors make it very daring; these sunglasses are for women who want to be noticed."

Well okay then. So what do you think, ladies? Outrageous for everyday? Or all kind of awesome?

Maaji Swimwear

Who's excited for summer? I know I am, and one of my favorite things to shop for (yes, really) is actually swimwear! I know most women loathe trying on swimwear and denim, but for some ironic reason, I actually enjoy these (super) challenging categories the most!

I'm always on the lookout for some fun, flattering swimsuits to sport every year, and have been coming up short in recent years. Some of my standby faves are Zimmermann, Seafolly and Tigerlily (those Aussies really know how to soak up the sun in style!), and just recently came across another line called Maaji Swimwear

I love their flirty, feminine cuts and ridiculously adorable prints and patterns. The colors instantly put me in a good mood and are perfect for a fun day at the beach or lounging at a rooftop pool. What do you think?

Beauty Junkie

Despite the fact that my bathroom counter is literally spilling over with beauty products of all kinds, I'm always on the lookout for the latest and greatest new products on the market to share with the world. I snapped up Charlotte Ronson's Charm 2xA Blush/Bronzer stick from Sephora in 'Abby' (named after Abby Elliott) and am thrilled with the results. (Note: I've been a fan of the hip designer's beauty line since I first attended her launch party, so I knew taking a gamble on this seemingly smart product most likely wouldn't disappoint.) And, I was right.

It's a genius little duo that quickly contours and brightens the face with a few quick swipes. It's easily transportable, virtually fool-proof and the shades are fantastic on my olive/golden complexion. With summer just around the corner, I know this is one fabulous multi-tasker that will make its way into my summer tote all season long.

Shoe News

Admittedly, I'm not really a TOMS kind of a girl (I love my heels--no surprise there!) and wearing flats is something I have to force myself to do at least once a week. I haven't gotten on board with the whole TOMS fad, but I found two styles that I'd actually wear quite willingly. Feminine, sweet and neutral, the Petal Grosgrain and Natural Crochet styles would look super cute with a pair of shorts or even a casual dress.

$54-58.

I Heart Ronson Summer Soiree!

Last night I headed to the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood to celebrate the summer collection of I Heart Ronson, the clothing line by designer Charlotte Ronson for JCPenney. Not only did I score a sweet summer dress, but I also caught up with the designer who dished with me on her #1 rule for summer fashion and beauty: less is more. When it comes to beauty products or accessories, the designer opts for minimal effort for maximum impact.

"You either do fun beachy hair or a Brigitte Bardot eyeliner, but keep the rest simple," Ronson explained. As for her successful (and affordable) clothing line, she comments, "I'm so happy to do this. I've learned so much about the JCPenney customer and I think it keeps getting better and better. This summer it was all about ginghams, eyelets, plaids, polka dots, maxi dresses and rompers...things that I would want to wear. Easy and effortless!"

Ronson obviously knows a thing or two about style, as her Young Hollywood friends including Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Rashida Jones and Ashlee Simpson stepped out to show their support and enjoyed a fun-filled night of fashion, bowling and music by (Charlotte's sis) DJ Samantha Ronson.

Super fun night, great crowd and incredible music! Who's ready for summer?

Celebs in Sundresses

Summer is my favorite season, primarily because it allows me the liberty of wearing sundresses every single day, day or night. Floral prints are an obvious choice, and girly, flirty frocks are always at the top of my list. Celebs like Minka Kelly, Taylor Swift and a handful of the Victoria's Secret Angels have been right on trend, wearing sweet dresses by Heartloom lately.

Zimmermann Hits L.A.

Sunny days are here again, Angelenos! Not only is summer about to kick off into full swing any day now, but fabulous Australian line, Zimmermann, known for its fashionable swim and beachy glam apparel (that I am personally obsessed with), has officially opened its doors on Robertson Boulevard.

As the first permanent U.S. retail store, the sun-drenched all-white boutique exudes a tranquil, luxurious energy the moment you step inside. First you'll be greeted by adorable Aussie salesgirls and then you'll magically get swept away by racks brimming full of incredibly cute swimwear, cover-ups, sexy dresses, sweet rompers and so. much. more!

The drool-worthy pieces are everything you've ever wanted in resort wear and the whole line boasts stunningly beautiful feminine prints and patterns designed by Nicky Zimmermann herself. Price points are steep, but with swimwear this gorgeous, sometimes it's worth a splurge, right?

I stopped in this week, mere days after opening, to tour the store and meet Nicky in person. After a glorious walk-through with the genuinely charming and talented designer, I'm more smitten than ever; and can safely conclude that Zimmermann is exactly what L.A. needs.

Obsessed!

It's a running joke among my family and friends that I own way too many pairs of nude heels. I've had friends dive through my piles of shoes to help me de-clutter (Cara) and sisters who have painstakingly hauled garbage bags full of neglected shoes away from my collection (Claire) only to remind me months later of their troubles when I start shopping again. But in my defense, I'm obsessed. It's like an addiction. (And hey, there could be much worse addictions!) Plus, I wear shoes everyday, so there's a high probability that a good pair will be on rotation for awhile. The question is...which pair? See? The mystery of finding the magical pair of perfect shoes is what gets me every time. Now you understand my logic.

Anyway, not that I need another pair of tan heels, but these are incredibly fierce and super fun for summer. And might I add--they are different. They have an ankle strap! A wooden platform heel! A slightly darker shade of leather (one could even argue that they shouldn't be categorized as nude, whatsoever.) So, there you have it. My new must-have pair of summer shoes that do not in any way replicate an existing pair that I currently own.

Or...at least, that I can remember at the moment.

Rachel Pally Summer 2011

Not only is designer Rachel Pally super sweet, but she wows me with her very wearable styles season after season. (And I'm not just saying that because we're friends!)
For primarily working with just jersey, Pally has mastered her craft and keeps reinventing the wheel. I own endless amounts of RP, and year after year I wear them to the ground and always get compliments. Easy, comfortable and in most cases, flattering, Pally's clothes really resonate with my personal style. The line might be a little on the pricey side, but consider it an investment worth making--her clothes hold up for years and always look great, especially for traveling! Every summer I stock up on some fresh new styles and this year was no exception.

Take a look at my personal favorites from her current Summer 2011 line:

I totally want them all!

Flirty Boho

There's something undeniably fantastic about wearing a breezy maxi dress in warm weather. In one swift instant, you're transformed into an ethereal beachy glamazon (p.s. maxis can make your legs look longer than ever when worn with towering wedges), and best of all, there's little to no effort in getting dressed.

This floral maxi dress from Free People is romantic, feminine and just boho enough--without going overboard.
Throw on some fabulous wedges, slip on a few sparkly bangles...and suddenly, you're a gorgeous summer goddess!

These Make Me Smile.

Mile-high wedges soaked in playful, pastel hues. They scream SoCal summer style to me, but they're actually all the way from the UK.
I dig it.

And if you want to toughen things up in the sweetest way possible, these heels are to. die. for.
