Flirty Boho

There's something undeniably fantastic about wearing a breezy maxi dress in warm weather. In one swift instant, you're transformed into an ethereal beachy glamazon (p.s. maxis can make your legs look longer than ever when worn with towering wedges), and best of all, there's little to no effort in getting dressed.

This floral maxi dress from Free People is romantic, feminine and just boho enough--without going overboard.
Throw on some fabulous wedges, slip on a few sparkly bangles...and suddenly, you're a gorgeous summer goddess!

Free Spirit

My personal style these days is best described as feminine chic with faint leanings towards downtown edge; typically composed of clean cut lines and a subdued color palette. I rarely get sidetracked by folksy, bohemian styles, but one look at the latest looks from Free People, and I'm suddenly starting to envision a more free-spirited, whimsical summer wardrobe than expected.
Check out a few of their ethnically-inspired styles that perfectly balance rich global influences with come-hither glamour.

You Want What You Can't Have...

I fell in love with these quirky-cute lace-up booties on the Free People site the other day, and was dismayed that they were completely and utterly sold out in my size (and well, every size but a 6.) They aren't anywhere else online, so I've developed a bit of a heart-wrenching crush on them at this point.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am more than just a little bit of a nude shoe addict, so these would fit right into my collection, but would stand out with a bit more attitude.

I was hunting and pecking around online and was surprised to find that a DIY guru actually took the exact same shoe and embellished it with studs for a bit of a rocker edge. Impressive handiwork. Alas, this one dynamo pair is a size 7.5, so that doesn't help me...even if I did like the added studs (which I'm not for certain that I do, FYI.)

Despite the fact that I cannot have either at this point, it still begs the question: which style is better? Sleek and simple? Or metal-embellished?

Discuss.

Cute & Cozy.

It's raining here in L.A. (the nerve!), and all I want to do is light a candle and curl up at home. This poppy cashmere nightgown from Free People looks ideal.

On sale for $49.95 (from $188) at FreePeople.com.
