Red Hot!

I've been (jokingly) referred to as the Asian Kim Kardashian and now I'm seriously considering being her for Halloween. Girlfriend has been looking good! Love her in this stunning red gown while abroad in Dubai. She should wear more red, right?

On My Radar

I'm always on the lookout for cool new clothing lines, and I think there's promise in L.A.-based Everly. The cool contemporary collection is youthful with a bid of indie edge--all at a very affordable price point (most are around $50-75.) Who doesn't love that?

Kardashian Kollection Party

Last night I headed out to The Colony in Hollywood to toast the new Kardashian Kollection for Sears and party it up with Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and the whole gang. Models rotated around a small stage in different Kardashian-inspired outfits ranging from sleek jumpsuits, sequined ensembles, leopard print blazers, plenty of body-conscious mini dresses and more. Not to be missed was the lingerie offerings, that proved to be both pretty, sexy and perfect for their customer. Maybe they should have just stuck to a lingerie collaboration, what with all of those famous sisterly curves?

Anyway, I digress, all in all, the Kardashians played it safe for the mass market. Although, if pressed, Forever 21 (or...wait, bebe debuted a nearly identical Kardashian collection at a higher price point not that long ago...) would also offer you the same sort of disposable club wear.
Truthfully, though, the singular standout item I saw was an oversized black lace handbag with top handles (a la Louis Vuitton's 'Speedy' silhouette) that I could totally get on board with. Classy, and might I add, discreet, too, so not a soul will know it's from Sears.

Preview: Paper Crown

Have you been eagerly anticipating Lauren Conrad's newest fashion line paper crown? I've got the scoop on the wearable, sophisticated styles designed by the reality star herself. The contemporary collection debuts this fall and can be best described as a collection for those who like to 'play dress up in a grown up world.'
See for yourself:

The collection hits stores the first week of August, and will be available at Nordstrom, Ron Herman, Fred Segal and Planet Blue, among several other department stores and specialty boutiques. Paper Crown retails between $59 and $458.

Moody Blues

I have more little black dresses than I know what to do with, so I welcome a refreshingly chic navy frock with open arms. I spied this adorable number (just $39) on Lulus.com and love everything about its simple yet sassy silhouette.

A chunky retro-glam bracelet ($16 at Lulus.com) adds just enough glitz.

Anna Sui for Target

Behold the upcoming designs from Anna Sui's collaboration with Target, launching September 13. Inspired by Gossip Girl, the collection mixes a fine balance of downtown edge with chic uptown panache.

Missing New York City a whole lot right about now...

Peaches & Cream

I actually do rather like this sweet n' sexy dress from Elizabeth and James (the Olsen twins' line, FYI), but I really don't care for the way they styled it in this image. Short dark masculine cowboy boots and a brassy fringed metal necklace? Blech.

Elizabeth and James Boudoir Dress $465 at eLuxury.com.

It's raining here in L.A. (the nerve!), and all I want to do is light a candle and curl up at home. This poppy cashmere nightgown from Free People looks ideal.
