Jason Wu for Target: My Review

I know yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday for the rest of the world, but for me, I aptly declared it 'TargetWu Sunday' and made it my mission to snag some of the Jason Wu for Target designer collaboration goods for myself.

To be fair, his collection wasn't totally my style when I scoped out the line, but there were a few girly numbers that I thought would work with my wardrobe. All in all, it was a fierce fashion fight (we were out the door at 8AM and hit up five locations) to get my hands on the coveted collection; but my sister and I are persistent, stealth shoppers, and we came out triumphant. Plus, we placed a sizable online order the night before just to ensure we covered our bases.

Did any of you score some Wu? What did you think? The sizes seemed a little off to me, (some ran way too big, some ran a bit small), but nothing a great belt (Lord knows I have plenty of those!) and some hemming (these swingy dresses and skirts are always so long on me!) can't fix. Add some fabulous heels and I'm all set for spring!

Liberty of London for Target

If you haven't heard about Target's latest line launch, Liberty of London, you're missing out...literally. The kitschy cute collection (including clothing, home decor, home & garden and more) dropped this past Sunday, and has been flying off shelves ever since. Most stock online is unavailable, but depending on what you're looking for, you just might be in luck. Run, don't walk to the nearest Target if you want to nab some of these fun floral goods.

Anna Sui for Target

Behold the upcoming designs from Anna Sui's collaboration with Target, launching September 13. Inspired by Gossip Girl, the collection mixes a fine balance of downtown edge with chic uptown panache.

Missing New York City a whole lot right about now...

The Very Best Brush

My naturally stick-straight Asian hair requires next to nothing in the smoothing department. I usually run a wide comb through it after I shower, and haven't actually touched a hairbrush of any sort for ummm...years.

Blow drying is as simple as running my fingers through it a few times, and it certainly doesn't tangle overnight. I never thought I needed a hairbrush thanks to my low-maintenance mane, but during a recent press event at UMBERTO Beverly Hills, I was turned on to the Banana Brush, and now I'm a changed woman.

Not only is it ergonomic, which fits perfectly in your hand, but it provides great lift at the roots when drying and has widely-spaced bristles for easy detangling. Oh, and best of all? It's only $8.99 at Target.

Sneak Peek

I swung by a pretty fierce eco-friendly fashion party/private shopping event for Loomstate for Target in Venice and had a great time. The collection won't hit stores until this weekend (Earth Day!), but lucky guests got first dibs on the goods tonight.

In typical Loomstate aesthetic, the clothes were laidback and weathered with a faint hint of urban influence, and of course, environmentally friendly. I took home a lightweight organic cotton pullover sweater in turquoise, and several ladies were loving the grey tunic dress and tank top.

Dita von Teese, Adrien Grenier, Josie Maran, Kristen Bell, Amber Valletta, Angela Lindvall, Jaime Pressly, Taryn Manning, Rachel Pally, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Paquin, Kate Mara and Kara DioGuardi were just a few of the guests who showed their support to further the eco-awareness message.

Alexander McQueen for Target

Sneak peek of the designer collection that will debut next month...

Looks promising, no? AlexMcQ isn't typically my style, but I've got my eye on that cute black harness dress (shown with leggings) on top.

The is one collection that will for sure fly off shelves!

You Saw It Here First

Erickson Beamon for Target jewelry doesn't hit stores until February 15th, but I've had the look book sitting on my desk for a few days, and thought I'd give you guys a sneak peek (sorry for the slightly ghetto images) of their bold, fun line with a heavy smattering of sparkles.

Price range $14.99 (earrings) to $59.99 (medallion cuff.)

Post-Edit: For reference, Michelle Obama has been wearing Erickson Beamon throughout her husband's campaign, and continues to rock different designs during public appearances. Check out her belt at the Kid's Inaugural Ball:
