You Want What You Can't Have...

I fell in love with these quirky-cute lace-up booties on the Free People site the other day, and was dismayed that they were completely and utterly sold out in my size (and well, every size but a 6.) They aren't anywhere else online, so I've developed a bit of a heart-wrenching crush on them at this point.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am more than just a little bit of a nude shoe addict, so these would fit right into my collection, but would stand out with a bit more attitude.



I was hunting and pecking around online and was surprised to find that a DIY guru actually took the exact same shoe and embellished it with studs for a bit of a rocker edge. Impressive handiwork. Alas, this one dynamo pair is a size 7.5, so that doesn't help me...even if I did like the added studs (which I'm not for certain that I do, FYI.)



Despite the fact that I cannot have either at this point, it still begs the question: which style is better? Sleek and simple? Or metal-embellished?
