Lash Out!

Like most Asians, I can definitely attest to getting the short end of the stick when it comes to lashes. Mine are on the skimpy side, to say the least, so pricey lash enhancers have always peaked my interest. I've tried a few out--Revitalash, ModelCo and Jan Marini, namely, and experienced subtle results, but didn't use either as consistently as I probably should have.

I researched Tarte's new MultiplEYELash Enhancer ($65 at Sephora), and was intrigued.

Not only is it natural and packed with ingredients like soy, amino acids and hydroplant peptides, but it's much friendlier on the wallet than other enhancers that run about $120 a pop.

Even better? I think it's actually *working*, and it's been less than a week! I'm still testing it out, but so far, so good. I'll keep you updated, darlings!

Beauty Junkie

Right now, I'm really lovin' Tarte's Rise & Shine Plumping Lip Stain in Pink.

One side swipes on a subtle just-kissed pinky stain, and the other side is an antioxidant-packed gloss that adds a little oomph to your pucker. The stain boasts a natural tint that really lasts, while the gloss gives a subtle tingle for slight plumping benefits.

All you need to look perfectly pretty throughout even the dreariest days of winter!

$21 at Sephora.com.

Dear Fabulous File...

I'm looking for a lightweight foundation for my sensitive skin. What do you recommend?

-Cara

Dear Cara,
You bet! Summer's in full swing, so it's only natural that a lighter foundation formula is of interest. Here's my summertime regimen for a flawless face that's easy on coverage, but maxxed out on sun protection:

BECCA Cosmetics Mineral Primer SPF 30, $42

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, SPF 20; $42
(A surefire favorite; terrific consistency and smooth application)

OR

Tarte Smooth Operator SPF 20, $35
(Fail-proof and fun; great coverage and blendable formula)

OR

SkinFusion Micro-Technology Bio-Active Mineral Intuitive Soft Focus Foundation + SPF 10
(Perfects and mattifies the skin; appears colorless but blends perfectly to match and even out your skin tone)

To set your look (or if you want to skip foundation all together and just want to pack in some SPF), swipe on a translucent mineral powder.

ColoreScience Sunforgettable Brush SPF 30; $50
(comes in translucent or lightly tinted shades; perfect for travel and on-the-go touch-ups)

I'm a huge proponent of all of these products and wouldn't be able to get through summer without this sun smart stash!
