CHANEL Exhibit at The Wynn Las Vegas

This weekend I had the privilege of touring the exclusive (private, not open to the public) Numeros Prives CHANEL exhibit at The Wynn Las Vegas. The first of its kind in the United States, the installation featured ten magical spaces paying tribute to the iconic fashion brand. As a dedicated CHANEL devotee (I did get that handbag from an earlier post, by the way), it was unbelievably special and thrilling to experience this. Best part of the tour? A CHANEL claw machine, where guests could try their hand at scoring some designer swag to take home. Fabulous!

Fab Find of the Week

Feast your eyes on this fabulous sparkly Chanel handbag, spotted by yours truly at the Bellagio Las Vegas boutique this week. If ever there was a stunning, feminine, standout bag to add to a collection, this is certainly it. A girl can dream, right?

In Love.

Spent my Sunday at Neiman Marcus and fell in love. The Chanel 'Chain Me' shopping tote is exactly what I need in my life. It's functional, roomy, classy and perfect for everyday. I can't stop thinking about it, and am seriously considering it as an early birthday present to myself. The collection is flying off shelves, so I better move fast. But seriously, what's not to love?

Below are a few pensive pics of me pondering the designer purchase outside of Neiman's that my sis snapped to poke fun of me with...and why yes, that is a Chanel bag (from several seasons ago!) that I'm carrying. See? Chanel is always a wise investment.

Fashion Cupcakes!?

Yeah, you heard me. These adorable Chanel and Louis Vuitton sweet treats were shot by Swedish photographer Therese Aldgard and styled by Lisa Edsalv. Very limited offering, natch.

!!!!

I'm a Chanel girl through and through, so when I saw this blinged out Chanel logo phone case, my heart skipped a beat.

The last five cell phones I've owned have all been bedazzled in some way or another, but I think it's time to take it to the next level, don't you think?
Seriously considering getting a customized version for my Blackberry...

Nail It

Here in L.A., perfectly-pedicured toes are a summer necessity. There was a lot of buzz a few months ago when Chanel opened its Robertson location, and with it came an exclusive nail polish collection boasting four bright rainbow shades, retailing at $25 a pop.

The polishes flew out of the store, and for a while there, I couldn't go anywhere without overhearing someone talking about their highly-coveted designer enamel.

Interestingly enough, Essie popped out a few identical shades for a fraction of the price at just $7 a bottle.

Either way, I have yet to jump on the bandwagon with the neon nail trend. While the yellow isn't terribly wearable (or flattering), I do think that L.A.'s new cult-favorite shade is purple. I've seen plenty of gals rockin' the regal shade this season, and when done correctly, is actually quite pretty.

OPI has a number of purple polishes that inspired me:

I'm a fan of lighter shades of lavender for a modern manicure. Keep the color sheer and the nails short, and you've nailed the look!

Chanel Love

Celebrated my sister's birthday at The Ivy last night, and had to snap a pic of the store window at the Chanel store next door.

Gorgeous, right? It's like a dreamy fashion carousel come to life. Swoon.

Crazy for Chanel!!!

My beloved Robertson Blvd. couldn't have been any crazier tonight as the new Chanel boutique hosted a fabulous VIP bash to kick off its opening this weekend. The store was absolutely gorgeous--three stories of sparkling designer luxury, complete with courtyard lounge areas, giant bronze statues of iconic shoes, handbags, perfume and more.

Tons of celebs came out including Maria Menounos, Rachel Bilson, Angie Harmon, Amber Valletta, Nicollette Sheridan, Michelle Tractenberg, Emma Roberts, Leighton Meester, Kathy Hilton, etc. (Sidenote--Kathy has seen so much of me lately that she just walked over to me and chatted me up; I didn't even have to approach her for an interview! Ha. FYI--Paris is in Tokyo and Nicky's in New York at the moment.)

I was a little frazzled making the rounds and interviewing celebs, but I did take the time to admire some pretty swanky new handbags that I'd L-O-V-E to own.

Here are a few candids I snapped:

Silver quilted handbag and matching ballet flats are limited-edition pieces exclusive to the Robertson location.
