Eco Beauty: Josie Maran

To honor Earth Day, several cool eco companies came together for a fabulous shopping event last night at Environment Furniture Showroom. Of all the fabulous vendors, I singled out Josie Maran Cosmetics as my main stop of the evening because a) I'm a die-hard beauty junkie (duh) and b) I've always loved Josie--in past interviews with the model, I always thought she was uber sweet and down-to-earth. Her beauty collection has been getting rave reviews since it launched about four years ago--and for good reason.

Lucky for me, Josie's head educator and make-up artist extraordinaire, Jessica, devoted much of the night transforming my face into a work of art, and attracted quite a crowd with her artful use of colors and out-of-the-box technique with the line. Whereas I normally stay away from vivid colors on my face, Jessica took the initiative to amp up my eyes with exotic peacock colors and gave me a fierce pout with a lip stain that did.not.budge. all night!

I learned a ton about the line, thanks to Jessica's expertise, and now I'm hooked on playing with the eco beauty line that's not only good for the planet, but great at making you feel gorgeous!
