Cheap Chic

(FYI, I'm in Vegas for the next week prepping for my brother's wedding (I'm the maid of honor!), so my posts might be sporadic.)

So last night was the wild bachelorette party, and I was in the most unlikely situation of feeling completely under dressed. (This rarely happens, I'll be honest.) I had been running errands all day and hadn't had time to change or grab an extra outfit; but I figured my strapless sundress and sparkly gold flip-flops would carry me through the spa and dinner plan for the party.

Lo and behold, another bridesmaid had other destinations in mind and convinced us all to go to a (strip) club and a few lounges late into the night. Needless to say, I had to grin and bear it in my floral summer dress that was far from "Vegas nightlife." Thankfully, said bridesmaid had a pair of metallic wedge sandals in her car that I borrowed, to give a bit of a lift from my casual flat sandals and dress up my overall look (at least a little.)

They're comfortable, cute and actually from Target, at just $22.99. (Yay!) I picked up the pink pair this afternoon, and I think I just might rock them at the rehearsal dinner. ;)

Moral of the story? Stash a pair of heels in the car for unexpected outings.
