Wait. Seriously?

Did you know Taiwan has a Hello Kitty HOSPITAL?

Yes, it's true. The 30-bed Hau Sheng Hospital in Yuanlin in central Taiwan claims to be the only institution of its kind authorized by Sanrio to use its likeness.
Newborns get decked out in Hello Kitty cuteness, including pink or blue receiving blankets, nurses dressed in pink uniforms and cheerful room decor.

The lobby has a Hello Kitty statue to greet patients, and costumed Hello Kitty characters visit patients twice a year. Oh, and did I mention that birth certificates even have Hello Kitty's face plastered on them?

I'm all for HK's obvious cute quotient, but does this seem a LITTLE bit ridiculous to anyone else?
