You Little Minx.

While at a fabulous event last week, I tested out a new manicure trend from Minx: shrink-wrapped foil nail designs that are applied to your nails through heat. Offering tons of funky designs (ranging from leopard print to hounds tooth to stripes and more) the Minx station attracted quite a crowd of stylish girls who wanted to dress up their nails with a downtown edge in no time.

The Bliss Spa manicurist only had time to do two fingers per guest, so I've awkwardly been sporting eight sparkly nails (from my previous manicure), and two metallic Minx leopard prints (see pic below.)

It's been a week, and I have to say they've held up quite nicely. Next time, I'll spring for a design for all ten tips, and I've already got my eye on the lace design. How chic!

Minx manicures available at Bliss Spa at W Hollywood, approximately $55.

The Ultimate Summer Sandal

Okay, I know they aren't as glam and gorgeous as pair of dainty bejeweled designer sandals, but if you're looking for summer footwear that will save your soles (and tone your calves, glutes and so much more), you're not going to find a better pair than these FitFlops.

I've had my eye on FitFlops for awhile (who doesn't love sneaky shoes with a built-in workout while you walk?), but they were never too cute, so, naturally, I never picked up a pair. Thankfully, the Electra style is debuting this season, and I'd say they're about as feminine and (dare I say it) somewhat stylish as they come. I'd wear them all over town with shorts and tanks, to and from the gym, etc., smugly aware of the toning benefits they bring, even if they're a bit clunkier and a tad bit tackier than I'd personally like.

Well worth the trade-off, don't you think?
Also available in bronze and black. $59.99 on www.blissworld.com

Beauty Junkie

Just got back from a week of holiday merriment in Las Vegas, and successfully concocted a winter hair care remedy that actually seemed to prove its worth and work against the bitter weather out there (cold, windy, dry...brrr!)

Not a day went by on my vacation that I didn't rely on Bliss Spa's Lemon+Sage Supershine Shampoo and Ojon's Hydrating Thickening Conditioner.

Since I was traveling, I was without my usual arsenal of products, but it's nice to know that these two actually lived up to their claims (shiny, smooth, hydrated hair) and I didn't need to douse my hair with anything else after showering to make it manageable.

Hurrah.

SkinFusion Bio-active Mineral Intuitive Soft Focus Fluid Foundation + SPF 10

The geniuses behind LipFusion and Fusion Beauty have created a foundation miracle that I seriously can't get enough of. This sheer mineral blend with a bio active complex (it sounds tricky, but basically the minerals come out colorless and once applied, enhance your natural skin tone on contact) just launched this spring and is unlike anything else on the market (and trust me, I know what's out there!)

It's weightless and easy to apply, and it actually perfects your skin tone and minimizes shine all day, without looking or feeling like you're wearing any makeup at all! As if it couldn't get any better, this product also offers SPF. Score!
Available at Blissworld.com for $56.
