Emma Roberts for Madewell at Santa Monica Place

Ready for a road trip? Madewell made its way through L.A. in a silver emblazoned vintage airstream trailer to promote their summer collection and to-die-for denim bar. The mobile pop-up shop had stylists on hand to outfit summer wardrobes and get you geared up for an unforgettably stylish sunny season ahead.

I stopped by Santa Monica Place this weekend to nab some neon sunnies, get my hair braided and catch up with the lovely Emma Roberts, one little lady who's certainly been keeping up her appearances lately--(On her Met Gala ESCADA gown, "It was a total Michelle Williams Oscar moment for me," she gushed proudly.) 

 The actress, who is currently working on a film called Empire State with Liam Hemsworth and just wrapped a coming of age indie called Adult World, discreetly made it through the mall without attracting any attention, save for her adorable sunglasses-adorned sweater, a favorite item from the current collection.

"I love Madewell, I think it's so easy for everyday and just perfect for summer. Their little dresses are probably my favorite, but they have really good staples too. A polka dot top can make all the difference in a simple little outfit. It brings everything up a notch," she declared, while posing for photos outside of the trailer. 

Eagerly climbing inside to scope out the summer duds, she immediately asked, "Do you guys have swimwear?", while trying on various pairs of plastic shades. As for her summer plans, Roberts shared, "I just want to go somewhere tropical, rent a beach house with friends and hang out. That's all I want to do!"

 And the one summer trend she can't get enough of right now?
 "Neon! Ohmigod, I hated it at first, but now I love it! Hence, my Brian Atwood heels," she said with a guilty smirk, kicking up one of her bright mega-platform color-blocked heels. "I dont normally do colors, but now I'm all about it."
