Date Night!

Love is in the air now that spring is in full swing, so I wanted to do a post on first (or second or third, etc.) date outfit options, as several readers have specifically requested. Before we get to the fun stuff, let's clear the air with some generalized basics, ladies:

First, guys are visual. Now I'm certainly not one to advocate dressing for a guy, but when it comes to dates, you obviously want to look your absolute best. That being said, please note that this is a tad bit different than when you go out and dress to impress with your girlfriends.

While girls will appreciate your cutting-edge trendy dresses or killer ornate high heels, most guys would rather see things simply when it comes to your silhouette and accessories. In other words, stick with pieces that flatter your figure, coloring and personal style, and above all else, make sure you're comfortable and confident in your outfit. It doesn't (and probably shouldn't) need to be the hottest trend off the runway, the loudest pattern in the store, or the flashiest accessory you own. Streamline things so the focus is on you, and not your over-the-top ensemble.

Secondly, keep it classy. First dates are similar to job interviews, in that you're essentially introducing yourself and aiming to leave a good first impression in every possible light. Take that as you will.

Alright, and on the fashion:
