I caught up with the L.A.-based wardrobe stylists-turned-designers, Emily Current and Merritt Elliott, at a party tonight (more on that later!) and wanted to share a few fun snippets from our conversation.

"Our line started because what we loved and what we wanted to wear didn't exist! We wanted to do denim that transcends time and body shapes and trends. It's just an evolution of what we've been doing: a vintage silhouette reinvented."

"We’re really inspired by men: rock stars and surfers and just their overall ruggedness. That’s kinda what we wanted to do for women."

"As far as celebrities go, I think all of the people we love are already wearing our jeans. But seriously, the greatest compliment for us is seeing stylish girls rocking our jeans. Whether they’re celebrities or just normal girls hanging out at Whole Foods...
To see someone wearing our jeans well, is really such an honor."

"We'll see a couple girls wearing our jeans at parties with really fancy tops and Chanel bags and we’re like ‘Yay! That’s exactly what we wanted!’”
And there you have it!
Two very hip girls with a rockin' denim line to boot.
Kinda makes me want to buy a pair...
