Barbie Fashion History? How Fabulous!

I've always had a style crush on Barbie. Not only does she epitomize elegance, beauty and trend-setting style, but this glamour girl was my inspirational confidant as a little girl who loved fashion and dreamed of bright lights and gorgeous clothes one day.

My living room currently has a set of vintage Barbie fashion illustrations on display that I hope to hang in my baby's nursery someday (a girly girl she will be!) But now I've got my eye on something else...






Assouline just released a magnificent 128-page tome chronicling Barbie's fashion history, priced at $500. Super pricey, but the photography is fab (natch) and apparently the pages are removable so you can frame them if you're so inclined.
