Impulse Buy

So, I'm currently playing 'mom' in Orange County, and my younger sister, Joy, informed me that she needed to go back-to-school shopping before classes (junior year of high school) start on Thursday. She's typically the 'tomboy' in the family, so I was caught off guard when she actually willingly volunteered to come to Newport Beach's Fashion Island with me today. I tried to remain composed during the shopping trip because any sign of overly girly giddiness would probably turn her off from the whole concept; but inside I was super ecstatic to take her shopping.

Now, to be honest, I genuinely love shopping for other people because a) it's always a unique challenge, b) I really feel like I'm helping someone I care about and get to learn more about them in the process, and c) I get to exercise my shopping prowess without having to spend any of my own money (whew.)

We were short on time, but Joy knew exactly what she was looking for: T-shirts and hoodies. Juicy Couture has been her one-stop shop for the last year or so, and today proved no different.

We ran in and scooped up a pile of casual, cute (and pricey) Ts, that I know she'll wear all year round.

We were checking out, and I spied this ridiculously fun and oversized diamond ring key chain on the counter.


I know, I know...totally frivolous, but yet completely fabulous, right? My keys are now blinged out in the best way possible.
