Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat

With swimsuit season in full force, it's no wonder that it took little convincing to get plenty of celebs and press VIPs to book it to the Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat held in Beverly Hills this week and last. Offering a smattering of fun workout classes from popular trainers, colorful workout gear from C9 by Champion (available at a Target near you!), mini massages from Equinox, Oakley shades and Muscle Milk for all--the retreat was an invigorating break from the day to day rush of living in L.A..

I had a blast taking an intense class with Jennifer Cohen (from Shedding for the Wedding), and I'm still feeling it a few days later.

Celebrities in attendance this week at the Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat included Stacy Keibler (Chuck), Brooke Meuller (The World According to Paris), Jayde Nicole (Holly’s World), Amber Stevens (Greek), Tiffany Dupont (Greek), Sasha Grey (Entourage), Sarah Mitchell (Dance Scene), Cassie Scerbo (Make It or Break It) and Camille Gauty (The Chicago Code).

Work It, Girl.

This weekend, I stopped by the Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat event at a private estate in Beverly Hills. Celebs and media VIPs (ah-hem!) buzzed around the swanky home--a fully loaded oasis offering guests a few gifting tables (Oakley, Under Armour, etc.), sweat-drenching fitness classes, healthy yummy snacks, a tantalizing pool, Alterna hair salon, spa, the works! Lindsay Lohan and sister Ali took part in the festivities, as well as Lo Bosworth, Karina Smirnoff and more. Check it.

Step It Up

With the new year in full swing, getting in shape is taking priority once again, and I wanted to take a moment to rave about my fitness footwear of choice: Reebok EasyTone sneakers.

Lucky little me was gifted a pair at the launch party last spring, and have worn them intermittently, but have always been pleasantly impressed with their performance. Yesterday I went for a run in the park (sunny, glorious Southern California weather allows for that in mid-January), and I could literally feel my legs, calves and butt working harder due to the mechanics of the shoe. By the time I hit the sack, I had that satisfying post-workout subtle soreness--the equivalent to a pat on the back for a job well done. In short, get these sneaks--your gams will thank you!

Loooooove Lululemon!

Ran some errands with my sister today, and for some reason, I seem to be incapable of avoiding Lululemon any time I see one. I can't resist the cuteness and quality of great yoga/dance/workout apparel, and I don't think I've ever walked out of there empty-handed. I popped in just for kicks, fully expecting to be in and out in a few minutes, but alas, I got tied up in the fitting room and ended up getting a few sports bras (hey, they were on sale.)

I love their sports bras. Really, I do. First of all, they're cute (see the V-neck one below.)

I own about 6 or 7 of them now. The cuts are feminine and modern, the support is there, and the colors and fabrics are just so fun. Unlike other sports bras, you won't be sickened by the unflattering uni-boob look, and they actually make you want to work out! Plus, now that I've discovered that they offer free yoga classes every Sunday morning, I'm officially hooked on the brand.

Errr....so much for that shopping freeze.
