Happy 2013! More Fabulousity for the New Year

Happy New Year, loves! As we embrace 2013 and all it has to offer, take a moment to reflect on the past year and decidedly made resolutions for the better.

Last year was a tremendous learning year for me, but it also strengthened me like I never knew possible. I pushed myself past my limits in different ways, dug deep and trusted myself; and by some awesome miracle, I have to say, I came out on top. I am so proud of my evolving career, relationships and challenges that continually present themselves; and know that every waking day is one to be grateful for--no matter how sleep-deprived or stressed out I am in the moment.

Looking ahead, I know there's plenty more positive energy and amazing milestones to welcome with open arms. Here are a few hopes, dreams and goals I have set for the new year:

1. Sweat. I've already started an intense 30-day hot yoga challenge and I am completely loving it so far. I have faithfully practiced for the past five days straight, and am amazed at how rejuvenated and relaxed I feel the minute I'm posing my little heart out in 105 degrees. More Lululemon in my life? You betcha. As much as I love SPX Pilates and spin classes, I want to really challenge myself and try new workouts as often as possible. Next up? Muay Thai, Boxing and some heart-pumping new dance classes.

2. Nourish. I'm notorious for forgetting to feed myself. Truth be told, I'm always on the go and juggling a million things at one time, so it's one thing that slips my mind pretty easily. Given my diet (no meat, very little dairy, no eggs), it's not always easy to find something fast and nutritious, but that needs to change. I resolve to incorporate a (new) Vitamix  and Freshology lifestyle into my daily routine.

3. Challenge. I'd be kidding myself if I didn't say I have every intention to kick some serious booty on the career front this year. I am head over heels in love with my job, and know that only great things are coming  my way day by day. Furthermore, I also hope to push myself out of my comfort zone in other ways too. As much as I love, love, love fashion and attending industry events every single night; I hope to find a greater balance with my free time in 2013. New friends, new experiences (volunteering, networking, dating) and a new sense of calm in terms of spirituality and family are just a few of the areas I'd love to open myself up to. Ambitious?I wouldn't have it any other way.

4. Cherish. My last resolution is a bit broad and evasive, but for good reason. In short, (and I truly already do this)--love myself and those around me. Rejuvenate my spirit from the inside out; continue to be ever more diligent with my skin care and hair care routines, combat the signs of aging, set short-term goals I know I can achieve, love on those who deserve to be loved, surround myself with awesome energy and endless laughter. Be my biggest cheerleader. After all, if you don't appreciate how incredibly fabulous you are--how will anyone else?

Cheers to 2013! Looking forward to an unforgettable year of greatness.
