A Few of My Favorite Things (For Now!)

There's certainly never a shortage of fun new products to test and play with in my world; it's almost every day now that I find myself sifting through a small bundle of beauty gems.

And while I'm usually pretty intrigued by a small smattering of fab new finds that come across my desk every so often, it seems like there's been an overflow of good (like, really good) stuff lately!

Here are a few of my most recent new fave finds:

Napoleon Perdis The One Concealer: Let me just say this. I am no easy customer when it comes to concealers. With my golden tan coloring and my inherited seriously dark under eye circles, I have pretty much given up on everything on the market, save for Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer (in SX 09, in case anyone's curious.)

I have tried every other so-called winning concealer of all price points (Cle de Peau, I'm looking at you), and while they're okay, they're not great. They're far from perfect; and for my needs, they just don't get the job done. I've tried everything under the sun, and end up disappointed more times than not.

Enter The One concealer by Napoleon Perdis, a peachy creamy formula in an unassuming little pot that a friend introduced me to. It's genius! It's great for ethnic skin tones and really corrects and perfects the skin, so you look airbrushed and flawless in seconds flat. Really--it's that amazing.
Never have I ever been so happy with a new discovery! Napoleon, please never discontinue this one.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter: This yummy-smelling hydrating cream is everything you could wish for in the winter.

It's ultra-moisturizing for even the most parched skin, smells amazing, and joyfully isn't too heavy or sticky.
Essentially, it's perfect...and feels incredibly luxurious on the skin.

Divine!

Mally Beauty In the Buff Eyeshadow Palette: When it comes to eye shadow, I'm a neutral girl through and through. Even when creating a smoky eye, you better believe it's entirely composed of varying shades of browns. And let me add, that not all brown shadows are created equally.

It's actually pretty tricky to find just the right hue to intensify my eyes in the best way, for day or night--and for it all to be in one palette? Near impossible!

Until I discovered this one by Mally Beauty, available on QVC. It has a huge range of gorgeous earth tones from light to dark, with a high-quality little brush to boot. It's everything I could have asked for in eye shadow!

pur Minerals Peach Corrector Primer: Back on my peach kick, this mineral primer is seriously amazing for my complexion! I smooth it over my whole face after moisturizing to brighten and even out my skin tone before applying foundation. It's lightweight and blendable and is exactly what I need in a correcting primer. Peach tones (like the concealer above) brilliantly counteracts darkness/purple hues and brightens the skin, so if you have any of those concerns, try this one out!

Lather Moisture Magnet:  I'm entirely obsessed with this delightful line called Lather based out of Pasadena, CA. Everything is all-natural and gentle, and contains the purest of ingredients. This hydrating serum is my new go-to, day or night, for perfectly supple skin.I love it!

I usually mix it with a night cream or another serum for double benefits and love how it makes my feel cool and fresh and plump right away.

Have any beauty questions or concerns? Leave them in the comments below and I'd be happy to help!

Thank you for sharing! I have always been so curious about Cle de Peau but haven't been able to get past the high price tag. I figured it'd be worth it if it actually did work as wonderful as they claim but if it didn't, I would be pretty pissed! Glad to see an alternative at a more reasonable price point that actually works better!
Lately, I've been ALL about skincare though. I can't get enough of the line Eminence (used in many spas), pretty much everything I've tried from them is spectacular, you should give it a try too!
