UGG Australia Gets Glam

Say what you will about UGGs, but I'll always be a loyal fan. Back in 2003 (or was it before?), when they were all the rage, I was a mere college student living in Malibu, and they were most definitely the footwear of choice. I ended up writing a pretty indulgent, well-researched article about the cult-fave sheepskin boots for a journalism class that wound up on the front page of the campus paper--a surprise result from an impressed professor.

That article inspired the editor of the paper to bring me on staff as their fashion editor, where I started penning a weekly column for my fellow college students; and the rest, as they say, is history!

Long story short, I owe a lot to UGGs,and when the temps get chilly, there's no other shoe like them around. And, might I add, my trusty college pair from 2003 are still in pretty impressive shape, and have endured all kinds of cold climate adventures (including stomping around NYC for three years when I lived there a while back.)

Which reminds me, I should probably replace them one of these days, and when I do, I have my eyes on this glam fluffy style:
