Hello, East Coast!

For the next roughly 10 days or so, I will be gallivanting around the east coast: Boston, New York and Baltimore for a whirlwind trip I planned rather last-minute. This weekend, I'm in Boston for my friend Cara's 30th birthday. We celebrated in style in new outfits purchased on Newbury Street (thank you Zara and H&M!) As if I didn't pack enough ensembles, I couldn't resist this sassy leopard print peplum skirt and paired it with some of my most trusted basics (Theory satin blouse, A/X leather moto jacket, my signature black ruffled belt and nude pumps) and hit the town. Boston doesn't seem to be too keen on cutting-edge fashion trends, but that didn't phase me.

with the Birthday Girl! yes, it was pouring rain last night.

Next, I'll be making my way to the Big Apple to partake in the Fashion Week frenzy and take in the shows. It's always good to return to my old stomping grounds, see old friends and revel in the best time of the year for the industry. Fashion Week is a celebration of creativity, inspiration and endless style, surrounded by the awesome people (designers, stylists, editors, taste makers, bloggers, hair & makeup gurus, etc.) who lead this charge with such vigor and panache. Can't wait to join in on the festivities!
