Dear Fabulous File...

I'm getting married next month and am stressing out about a cute hairstyle that will work with my current short length.

Can you please offer some fabulous ideas? --Kristina

Dear Kristina,

Of course! First of all, congratulations on your upcoming big day--you will look absolutely radiant. For short hair, I'd recommend enhancing as much volume as possible with sexy, romantic waves where you can.

Play with the texture and pin hair under for a chic updo that fakes the look of more hair than might actually be there. Create a 'bump' at the crown and frame the face with loose, tousled pieces for a becoming look that's a bit undone and soft. Here are some photos to inspire short wedding hairstyles:

I should also point out that if you're still craving a hairstyle with a bit more 'oomph', don't forget about the best kept secret in the book--extensions! I'm a fan of the Hot Heads brand as they're super light, easy to manage and natural-looking. You'll add volume and inches in no time (literally, it will take 45 minutes or less for a whole head), and you can add in many or as few you'd like for your desired look. Plus, they don't damage your natural hair whatsoever and look seamless and completely natural. Find a Hot Heads stylist in your area and you're well on your way to achieving your bridal hair dreams!

xoxo
