Victoria's Secret Summer Spa Day

This morning I headed over to the fabulous new hotel, Mr. C, in Beverly Hills for sunshine and beauty treatments hosted by Victoria's Secret, with Angel Erin Heatherton on site. VS treated a handful of fashion and beauty bloggers to poolside pampering including mini massages, manicures, pedicures, makeup applications, custom bra fittings and more. Delightful!

 All in all, it was nothing short of fabulous--and the glamorous hotel complete with pink and white-striped cabanas made for a picturesque event with perfect SoCal weather.

I chatted Erin up while she indulged in a pretty pedicure to learn some of her favorite tips for surviving summer.

Me: As an Angel, your job is to look good in a bikini. Tell us how you pull it off and what your favorite swimwear looks are for this summer.
Erin: It is my job, isn't it? I should remind myself that from time to time because I forget! But honestly, we all have our insecurities and own personal body issues. And if you think about it--it's not your body that can make you look bad--it's the clothes you wear! [laughs.]

So find a suit that works for you. We have bikinis that lift and give you that hourglass figure--they can really change your proportions and make you feel sexier. Oh, and I love bright colors this summer.

Me: What is your favorite summer beauty tip?
Erin: It's all about fresh skin and fresh hair. I don't do much...I let my hair air dry and curl my lashes, and that's about it. Victoria's Secret has an amazing lip exfoliant and lip moisturizer; and I also use a body scrub and self-tanner.

Me: What's the biggest misconception about being a VS Angel?
Erin: I love that we're actually all so normal and nice! All of the girls are down-to-earth and work very hard. They're just fun, sweet girls.

Me: What's the best part about being an Angel?
Erin: The people I work with are like my family! The hair and makeup artists and PR girls who I see everyday are awesome. I get to laugh with and have fun with them on a daily basis--that's the biggest blessing!

Erin was such a sweetheart, and I even lucked out with a sassy bright pink mani/pedi (new polish color from Essie)--so very VS of me, right? ;)
