The Perfect Rain Boot

When it comes to weather, I'm a California girl (by way of Texas) through and through. I absolutely hate heavy coats and winter clothes, bulky sweaters and clunky closed-toe footwear. If I had it my way, I'd wear sundresses and nude heels every day of the year and would never need more than a lightweight scarf or flimsy jacket to keep me warm and protected from the elements.

Not surprisingly, I have a pitiful amount of cold weather coats and accessories--and when it rains? Forget about it. I literally don't own anything waterproof...I either just get wet, or I stay inside all day. Living in L.A., I'm a bit spoiled with the weather, but we've had enough torrential downpours over the last few months that I'm starting to think I should just wise up and get a pair of rain boots instead of ruining my leather boots every time it gets gloomy.

There's an expected storm in two days, and I'm already panicking about what I'll wear. I've got my eyes on these cute, simple, sleek rain boots from Urban Outfitters. The reviews are glowing, and the price is right at $49. They're versatile, chic and timeless, too. And heck, maybe I'll like them so much, I'll even look forward to the rain next time.
