DIY Glam: The Bobby Pin Statement Necklace

A few weeks ago, I attended a press event where my blogger buddy, Kristen Turner, of Glitter N' Glue, led a cool crafty session teaching us how to make bobby pin statement necklaces. These DIY stunners look amazing on and are super easy to make at home. Simply string black (or gold or silver) bobby pins on (any kind of semi-sturdy, medium thick) ribbon as you like, tie it on, and you're all done!

From afar, these gems look like trendy bib metal necklaces; from close-up, people cannot believe they're made so simply out of two supplies most everyone has lying around at home. I seriously get tons of compliments whenever I wear mine (George Kotsiopoulos went bananas over mine at a party last week); and best of all, if you have a hair emergency during your night out, you're well-equipped!
