Marni for H&M Party in L.A.

Every once in awhile, something so fabulous occurs that I have to stop and pinch myself. Certainly I'm no stranger to fashion parties, insider events and rubbing elbows with the industry elite, but last night I attended a breath-taking bash to celebrate the Marni for H&M collection, and it just might go down in history as one of the opulent events L.A. has seen in a long, long time.

(Side note--based on the bland cryptic invite, I had no idea it was going to be a lavish party with a mini Bryan Ferry concert, instead, it seemed like an intimate, blase dinner party, so I didn't even bother getting dressed to the hilt at all. Little did I know it was going to be a fashion extravaganza, so I, along with a few of my fashion friends, felt a bit under dressed. C'est la vie! When in doubt, wear your tallest heels and act like you own the place anyway!)

The soiree took place at an immaculate residence in Los Feliz, hosted by Sofia Coppola, Consuelo Castiglioni and Margareta Van Den Bosch, and drew the likes of Drew Barrymore, Lily Collins, Diana Agron, Freida Pinto, Jessica Chastain, Mel Gibson, Rashida Jones, Shirley Manson and more. It was a who's who of the fashion industry, and the whole ambiance was something out of a blurry, magical fashion film from another time. Really. Oh, and the clothes? Pretty dreamy too. I'd like the color block dress and chunky platforms please.

The collection launches March 8 in select stores.
