Bringing Classy Back

Much like the rest of the world right now, I'm starting to develop a slight girl crush on Kate Middleton. Of course, the royal couple is always a fascinating topic, but Kate has impressed the masses with her understated class and chic yet simple style. She never pushes the envelope and seems so graceful and dignified. And so, since my plan to marry Prince William didn't quite pan out as expected when I was 12 years old, I'll admire Kate, lucky girl that she is, from afar.

See her here mingling with Michelle Obama in a streamlined shift dress in a lovely neutral shade by REISS. Disclaimer: I don't even like neutrals. I know they are hot, hot, hot right now, and I write about them all day long for fashion sites; but truth be told, they are tricky to pull off and make me feel washed out, no matter how hard I try. But, in this one instance, Kate pulls it off--and pulls it off well. (Her post-honeymoon glow helps.)

Alongside a very festive Michelle Obama, it's fashion history in the making:
