LC Hits Kohl's

I went to the launch party last night for Lauren Conrad's new line for Kohl's in West Hollywood--and was sorely disappointed. Not only was the scene a bit pretentious (yes, even for LA), but Lauren kept to herself and her friends (Lo Bosworth and Whitney Port were really the only recognizable ones in the mix) in one little corner all night; making very little effort to mingle with the guests who came out to support her latest endeavor.


(Yes, she is wearing a piece from her own line--it's actually a top worn as a dress.)

In short, I was bored and the energy in the party wasn't the greatest. Given that it was a launch party debuting her new collection, it would have been nice to have some sort of presentation or fashion show to feature the clothing, but all we got was a glimpse of some pieces in the window display. Danny Masterson DJed, but everyone seemed way too self-conscious to dance. Ick.

Thankfully the gift bags sort of saved the night. We were gifted a few pieces (leggings, a knit tunic and a dress) in the bag; but mine was sadly jacked, and I was missing an item (the dress!) by the time I took a peek inside my bag on my way home. Boo.

If, however, you are so inclined to check out the line, I'd head over pronto.

Kohl's marked down her whole line 30% to kick it off:
