Shopping Paradise

Malibu will always have a special place in my heart, and I'm happy to report that the beach city just got even better. The Malibu Lumber Yard, which is a brand new two-story luxe shopping space right next to the Malibu Country Mart, opened tonight and had a fabulous launch party to celebrate its (long overdue) arrival. Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn, Natasha Bedingfield, Mena Suvari, Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves and Chelsea Handler were just a few of the guests tonight. Over at Alice + Olivia, Natasha took home a green leather motorcycle jacket and also picked out a few pastel-colored terry hoodies from the adorable children's collection.

As for the shopping, retailers like James Perse, Intermix, Tory Burch, Theory, Alice + Olivia, Crumbs Bake Shop, J.Crew and more are just a few of the cute boutiques to open up beachside, and naturally, they all offer resort-like apparel and accessories, fitting for the Malibu community.

If only these shops could have been here during my four years at Pepperdine...
