R.I.P. Teen Magazine

No surprise here, but my love of fashion magazines began at an early age. Like 5th grade early. Maybe earlier? And no doubt, one of my favorite 'zines was Teen Magazine, even though I was several years shy of being an actual 'teen' myself.

I poured over the pages, examined the models, and committed many of their beauty tips and fashion spreads to memory. I eagerly looked forward to the day when I would graduate to read Seventeen (Teen People had just barely launched by then and CosmoGirl, ELLEGirl and Teen Vogue were nowhere in sight just yet!)

Sadly, nearly all titles in this category have folded in recent tough times in publishing, and Teen is following suit.



Farewell, old friend.
